I am a German academic working at present at the 'Centre for Philosophy
of Natural and Social Science' at the LSE on a three-part project
entitled: Husserl and Heidegger in Intercultural Context: Paths into
the Phenomenology of Human Self-Experience in East and West. The first
part covers Western traditions of thought, the second deals with
Husserl and Heidegger, and the third part traces Buddhist modes of
thinking from Japan via China to its Indian origin and Hindu
background.
One section earlier in the first part is about two related themes: 1.
'Perspectival Thinking in Poetry and Philosophy' in German literature,
and 2. 'German Self-Experience in Greek Antiquity'. Both drafts
together are 62 double-spaced pages long. For this manuscript I am
looking for an established academic in the field of German literature
who may be prepared to have a look at it and offer me some general
and/or specific comments as to the readability of the text, its clarity
and coherence.
Already written draft chapters of other parts of the project have been
read by colleagues not only from the UK, but also from the US, Canada,
Germany, and Japan. Since I am not a specialist, I depend very much on
the generosity of other academics who are familiar with or interested
in some of the areas I am working in.
If a colleague agrees to read the material, I would send it to him or
her via LSE mail along with a chapter outline of the project as a whole
(so that the text in question can be properly placed), and a cover
letter with more information. The time frame for this could be several
months, sometime in the summer or, if need be, early autumn.
With many thanks and kind regards,
Dr Hayo Krombach
