The Centre for Census and Survey Research has an internally funded
studentship available to commence September 2008 for a period of three years.
We are particularly interested in receiving applications from potential
students who could contribute to the new discipline of social statistics but
would happy to receive applications from potential students interested in
research in any area of quantitative social science. See

The successful applicant would receive an annual stipend of £9500 per annum
and a contribution of £3300 per annum towards fees. In return the student
would provide 120 hours of teaching assistance over the course of the
studentship. There are no nationality restrictions on this funding, but good
spoken and written English is a requirement.
