Research Associate position available in the Department of Geography at Loughborough University.
Geographies of Children, Youth and Families
The researcher will work on a project exploring the extended schools agenda. This will involve analysis of policy documents about extended schools; the ways in which these are being interpreted in schools by teachers and governing bodies; and the wider attitudes of parents and children to this development in the role of schools in the community.
Applicants should have experience of mixed methods research, ideally in the geographies of children, youth and families. Excellent interpersonal skills are required, in addition to the ability to think critically and write for different audiences.

The position is tenable for a period of 12 months, 1.9.08 until 31.8.09. It is funded by Dr Holloway's Philip Leverhulme Prize
