We invite students, activists, local community workers, academics, poets and artists to participate in this unique event - the last in a series of events convened to celebrate 20 years of British scholarship on gender and international politics. Potential issues to explore in tackling the theme of feminism's future include: the role of feminism in 21st century analyses of international politics; the impact of the critical study of race, postcolonial studies, masculinity studies and queer theory on the feminist study of gender and sex in international politics; how the local impacts the global and new forms of violence in the 21st century.
· The conference will include film viewing and art/photographic exhibitions and an associated workshop.
· It is also anticipated that social events will include a whiskey tasting evening and a ceilidh.
