Hello Andy
I trialled this on my desktop and got pretty excited about it. It looks
a very smart tool and easy to activate. On a personal level it is very
useful but I like even more the way that it sits in the course and
allows staff and students to tag shared internet resources. I also
demonstrated it to some academics who wanted it at once. I prepared a
help sheet for users, which you are welcome to have if it will save you
some time, Mail me at [log in to unmask] I don't think I can attach it
here.
Then I discovered that on our student network the Links toolbar, which
is fundamental to getting it working, is locked down, so IT Services
must either relax the permissions or install the bookmarklet for all
users. Either way it looks as if it will be September before we can get
students using it.
Frustrated of Worthing!

Subject: Blackboard Scholar
I am in the process of launching Blackboard Scholar for the University
of
Salford and was wondering if any of you had already launched Scholar.
What issues did you find with the launch?
What training, if any, did you put in place?
What documentation (publicity/training) did you launch?
What feedback have you received from academics, both technical and none
technical?
How effective do you find the Wiki?
If you feel any other information would be useful, then please add.
You can contact me via [log in to unmask]
thanks
