Preservation Equipment Ltd (http:\\www.preservationequipment.com)
produce a range of audio related archival storage products. These include:
archiveware preservers with corrosion intercept technology for cd storage
acid-free storage boxes for cassette tapes
polypropylene media cases for cassette tapes
7", 10" and 12" Phonograph record storage boxes
acid-free and lingin-free white storage sleeves and envelopes
anti-static record sleeves for vinyl and laser discs
lingin-free low dust surface cardboard audio tape boxes
Whilst I don't have experience of using all these products, I can
certainly recommend the polypropylene and acid-free cassette tape
storage boxes.
Whilst writing this message I notice that P.E.L. also have in their
catalogue A-D strips (Film Base Deterioration Monitors). I wonder if
these would be useful in giving an indication of chemical deterioration
in audio tapes?
