*ROBOTS, MOTION CAPTURE AND SPECIAL EFFECTS*
*19.06 - 22.06.08 in Prague*
TransISTor 2008, over four intensive days, focuses on the *Robots,
Motion Capture* and *Special Effects* used in many of todays’ multi
million dollar cinematic creations, as well as, by many innovative and
cutting edge multimedia professionals and contemporary art companies
world wide.
The training session combines *practical workshops*, *case studies* and
*theoretical presentations* by renowned and respected professional
artists from Europe, USA and Australia.
During the intensive 4-day workshop you will have the opportunity to
learn different motion capture techniques as well as the possibility of
using robots in live performances and audiovisual projects. Experienced
tutors will explain the different motion capture systems, the process of
setting sensors, recording sessions and computer data post-processing.
You will discover how to couple this system with robots, thus creating
hybrid choreographies. In parallel, we will also be taking a closer look
at how these technologies contribute to the latest special effects
currently being developed within the cinematic industry. The goal is to
experience the latest technologies, to integrate them and to use them to
produce your own projects.
Among the presenters will be:
*Stelarc*, Australian-based performance artist who works on the
relationship between technology and the body.

*Louis Philippe Demers**,** *artist, freelance designer, professor,
researcher and entrepreneur who uses machines as media and robotics in
performances.

The fee of € 400 for freelancer and € 800 for corporate, includes:

used within the industry, course materials, 5 nights of accommodation in
