CALL FOR PAPERS:
Scope of the workshop
The aim of the First International Workshop on using Ontologies in
Interactive Systems, is to stage a multi-disciplinary event, bringing
together researchers and application developers from a variety of
disciplines, but who all have in common the use of ontologies as an
essential part of managing user interaction and interactive systems.
Topics of interest, include but are not limited to:
* Ontologies for accessibility and assistive technology
* Ontologies for digital inclusion of elderly and special need users
* Ontologies for user modelling, adaptation and personalisation
* Ontologies for multimodal interaction
* Ontologies in web applications
* Ontologies in pervasive environment
* Ontologies in Intelligent transport systems
* Ontologies in healthcare
* Ontologies and tutoring and dialogue systems
* Ontologies and recommender systems
* Ontologies for information retrieval
* Various applications of ontologies in interactive systems

Workshop Proceedings
All submissions will be published by the IEEE Computer Society in a
special workshop proceedings volume. In addition, all the papers will
also be available through IEEE Xplore and through the IEEE Computer
Society Digital Library.
Authors of selected papers presented at the workshop will be invited to
submit an extended version of their submission for inclusion in a
journal special issue.
Submission Guidelines
* Long paper: up to 10 pages
* Short paper: up to 6 pages
Paper submissions will be handled via EasyChair
