Candidates are welcome to apply for a Postdoctoral position in Lancaster
University.
The core of this research is investigation of message-passing algorithms. A
particular application is for probabilistic inference in dynamic systems.
Nonparametic belief propagation (NBP) represents a significant
generalisation of particle filtering for Monte Carlo chains and they will be
studied in the context of ad hoc networks for decision making and object
tracking.
Methods for aggregation of the data will be investigated. Robustness to
fault detection will be studied and enhancement of performance with respect
to computational expediency and succinct communication will be performed.
