Hello,
I have done a field study carrying out extensive interviews with
contemporary magicians in Germany. One aim of the study was to analyze
the relationship between magical practice, religion, science, art, and
other orientations of human agency, based on interview data. The data
allowed me to work out a dimensioning of the magician-personality in
five typified aspects. If you are able to read German texts therefore my
book "Arkane Welten" (Würzburg: Ergon 2008) could be of interest for
you, particularly the last chapter.
