Hi,
Is this for a college or university or school? Junior Librarian is easy and
quick enough to use and I've known primary school kids trained to
administrate it! There is a version for older kids called Eclipse and it
looks good enough for 'professionals' to think it's a grown up system! Also,
school library services can usually get you a discount and do training if you
buy it through them. Anyway, here's the link

Subject: Friday (or Thursday!) challenge - is there an online L MS for under
£1500?
Dear all,
I've been asked to find a library system for £1500 excluding vat and annual
support. They need a catalogue and OPAC, - no serials, circulation,
acquisitions etc etc.
I know something could be written in Access for the catalogue but they want
it online (they will at least host it themselves!!) with search facilities.
They're happy to pay £200-300 for annual support but the initial outlay must
only be the above amount.
Any ideas anyone? They've looked at Koha and Evergreen (open source) but
they haven't got the necessary technical expertise or time to set this up.
