Floods Group Manager
HR Wallingford is an independent research and consultancy organisation
specialising in civil engineering and environmental hydraulics. We are
looking for a highly motivated individual with proven management skills to
head our Floods Group.
This senior position will give the successful candidate an opportunity to
directly influence the direction of the Company and expand our strong
national and international reputation in the area of floods and flood risk
management. You will be expected to further develop our unique mix of
research, development and consultancy projects across a wide range of
flood-related areas. You will have a combination of technical expertise
(in engineering, hydraulics or hydrology), project management skills (to
direct projects) and operational business management (to develop and
manage a range of expert staff). Expertise in the regulatory framework
will also be important – from the Floods Directive and Water Framework
Directive to local planning guidance. Critically, you will have an
interest in moving the industry forward.
