We have an exciting opportunity for a film researcher at the University of
Liverpool to work on a new project 'Mapping the City in Film: a geo-
historical analysis' based in the School of Politics and Communications
Studies and the School of Architecture:
POSTDOCTORAL RESEARCHER
£29,138 - £30,912 pa
You will analyse how the city’s character and identity has been documented
on film focusing on changes in the architectural form of the city and in
the character and use of different city environments. You should have a
PhD in either film or architecture or a related subject with specialist
knowledge of either film or architectural history and an interest in
exploring film and video materials. Skills in digital GIS mapping and/or
promoting scholarly activity locally and internationally would be
advantageous. The post is funded by the Arts and Humanities Research
Council (AHRC) for 2 years.
