Dear Sir,
I am Vinay Shukla from National Brain Research Centre, India.I completed my MS degree in Information Technology from Indian Institute Of Information Technology (IIIT).Before I completed MSc in Mathematical Science and Post graduate diploma in Computer Science.I have three years software industry experiance. Currently i am working under Prof(Dr.) P.K.Roy in Computational NeuroScience and National NeuroImaging Lab in NBRC,India.I am working on diffusion tensor imaging(DTI),transport process in brain and Stochastic resonace in image enhancement. Currently i communicated one paper in Thermal Conductivity Tensor Imaging in biological tissue. In this paper we are comparing DTI,TCT,ECT...with fiber tractography.
I am using Matlab,Java,FSL tool,Camino...for our processing.I came to know the position(P.hd position fellowship in New South Wales University) from FSL maling list. I am kinely interested in this position. Could you kind enough to eloborate this position, i mean how i get through it and what all are the requirements.A line of mail is greatly appreciated. *School of Psychiatry, University of New South Wales, Sydney, Australia*
The School of Psychiatry at UNSW invites applications for a Ph.D.
Scholarships in the area of brain Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), to
commence in the 2^nd half of 2008. Each scholarship is for $27,500 p.a.
for a maximum of 3 years,
The Scholarships will focus on the broad areas of current interest:
computational analysis of multidimensional and longitudinal MRI data and
MRI correlates of cognitive disorders in late life. This scholarship is
offered as part of the _Brain and Ageing Program, UNSW
<http://psych.med.unsw.edu.au/psychweb.nsf/page/brainage>_, a high
profile research program funded by the _NH&MRC
<http://www.nhmrc.gov.au/>_, which aims to evaluate the determinants of
age related cognitive disorders. The successful doctoral students will
be working with data derived from two study cohorts of international
significance (the Memory and Ageing Study and the Older Australian Twins
Study). The successful applicants will work in close collaboration with
our international research partners,
Applicants are encouraged from students/researchers from a variety of
backgrounds including but not limited to engineering, mathematics and
computer science, with mathematical/statistical and computer programming
aptitude and strong interests in neuroimaging.
