Partial success has been achieved thanks to all our efforts - so well done
everyone! It is far from over however.
A judicial review has just been granted. This means the deportation is
deferred for some time, pending the outcome of this process.
We now need to put pressure on to Yarl's Wood and the Boarders and
Immigration Agency to bail Claude and his family. There are people able to
collect them whenever they are released. Both of the Disabled Children -
but Jason especially - need very urgently to go to a haematology clinic -
ideally in Sheffield where they know him and are familiar with his needs.
To call Yarl's Wood - and be prepared to be fobbed off in a less than
courteous way - call 01234 8213000.
To call the Immigration and Boarders Agency - which seem to be there outside
office hours - telephone 01709 501800
The argument is now very straight forward. They can now lawfully release
them. The children are ill and need hospital treatment. Why are they still
in custody? "Can you release them this evening?" If not, when? Why the
delay? Claude knows where he and his family are returning to in Sheffield -
so let them go now!
Linda and Mike
