DESCRIPTION*:
Hull Teaching PCT is fully engaged in the drive to bring about a clinically led, patient-centred and locally accountable NHS. It is vitally important that decision makers have access to the best information and knowledge in order to make decisions that will impact on the health of the population of Hull.
Applications are invited for the post of Public Health Analyst/Epidemiologist, to contribute to the development of local and regional public health policy, working in a team with other Public Health professionals.
This is an opportunity to contribute to the development of effective and evidence based public health activity across Hull by participation in the production of statistical and epidemiological analysis, Health Needs Assessments, Health Impact Assessments Inequalities Analyses and other projects. In addition, this post gives an opportunity to work jointly with the Yorkshire and Humber Public Health Observatory at the University of York on a number of interesting projects.

We are seeking a self-reliant and highly numerate graduate or equivalent in Statistics, Mathematics, Epidemiology or Health/Social Sciences with competency in the production and interpretation of statistical output using a range of computer programs, combined with good communication skills. An understanding of the NHS and the ability to operate as part of a team and independently will enable you to enjoy the variety which this post offers.
The post is Hull-based within our modern offices, with no-charge car parking.
