Slightly off the subject of this particular patent, but I recently found out
that the first peer-reviewed paper I write (back in 1999) was cited in a
patent awarded by the US Patent Office - to Microsoft! The patent is based
on "A computer-implemented method for identifying metadata about a first
resource identified by a first Uniform Resource Identifier" !!!
I hope someone will be willing to try and overturn this patent. Further
