The report is perfectly fair for ScotGrid. Edinburgh and Durham get
good marks. Glasgow did screw this up because we lost SE and disk
server logfiles during our SL4 upgrade. It should be noted though that
we were able to quickly identify the problem which caused the logfile
loss and have also updated our backup procedures to ensure that copies
of the /var/log tree for all servers are kept on a central host
(previously we only had central syslogging, but it turned out that DPM
does not use the syslog interface).
I just checked the backup trees and they are nicely full of logfiles ;-)
It turned out to be very useful for us to fail this test actually - if
it had happened one month either side we would have passed fine and
continued to be vulnerable to loss of logs during upgrades.
