Hello SPMers,
I'm relatively new to SPM, and would like to learn as much as I can about using SPM and analyzing fMRI data. How much of an improvement is the new SPM book over the chapters of HBF version 2, on the website? Also, what level of math is required to understand it all? Is knowledge of linear algebra and statistics sufficient, or is it also necessary to know image processing and computer science-related math? If it helps, my goal is to be able to understand why e.g. slice-timing should come after realignment (although searching the archives shows that this topic isn't completely resolved), and other things of that nature related to the preprocessing of our data and getting good, real results. I hope this was all clear.
Thanks,
Chris Watson
