Hi Jacqui,
When I worked for a multinational comapy a few years ago we used to send
staff to all corners of the globe.
They had travel kits that are commercially available from a variety of
sources that included all sorts of OTC meds such as anthisan and the
like.
It also included Venflons and a giving set for areas where there was not
much medical equipment available. There is no requirement in law to do
this to my knowledge but it was the best way of protecting staff who
went to places where there was little or no sterile medical equipment
available.
Kays Medical was where we bought the kits from
Kind regards
Neil

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] travel first aid kits
Hi
Do silly questions always arrive on a Monday??
when staff travel to foreign climes do you send them with first aid
kits?
do these include syringes/venflons etc? do you train in the use of
syringes/venflons etc? do you have any criteria for who takes what to
where? and who provides/pays for them?
Jacqui
