We have many staff with varied arthritic problems.
We almost always do a specific workplace assessment, and use a
physiotherapist who specialises in doing them for us.
Once we have her report, we then quite often get them to self refer to
Access to Work.
Chairs are only part of the solution, and often it is other bits of
equipment they find very beneficil as well.

Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Rheumatoid Arthritis
List,
I have a lady who has Rheumatoid Arthritis and after a few good years
she is now having problems with pain and mobility. Her main problem
areas are her hips and wrists and I was wondering whether anyone has had
a similar problem which has been helped by providing a better/different
chair.
All advice very gratefully received.
Many thanks
Lynda
