Subject: [OCC-HEALTH] Gluteraldehyde
Hi List,
I am doing some work for a chemical factory and they are about to embark
on
a very new process.
They will be handling Gluteraldehyde 50% strength, and diluting it to 2%
strength for their customer to handle and use in sausage skins.
2 questions
1) Do they need food handler medicals of some description?
2) It will be handled by employees wearing acid suits with normal
respirators in a laminar flow unit. In your experience is this RPE
enough
when handling this stuff at that strength.
ANY help would be gratefully received.
Rachael
