"Every Family Matters:
Disability, Pregnancy and Parenthood"

Enabling health and social care practitioners to respond effectively to
the needs of disabled parents and parents of disabled children
A joint meeting, arranged in conjunction with DPPI, of the RSM's
Maternity and the Newborn Forum with the Intellectual Disability Forum,
on the needs and experience of disabled parents in pregnancy and
childbirth and maternity service provision. All health and social care
professionals working with disabled people or within maternity services
and leading non-governmental organisations should attend to discuss and
explore how a better future can be attained
The Department of Health is sponsoring British Sign Language
interpreters for this event and has also given money for subsidised
places to be available to disabled people and also to student health
professionals.
