We are expanding our media curriculum provision and are looking for an
experienced Media Tutor or Media Professional to join our team. You
will be working within the School of Creative Arts which provides a
wide range of programmes up to level 5. The role involves delivery in
a wide range of programmes such as the First and National Diploma in
Media Production (Games Development, Journalism and Moving Image) and
Foundation Degree in Commercial Video Production and Broadcast
Journalism. You will also develop links with employers and take part
in the development of new programmes within the School.
The ideal candidate will have :
* Teaching experience in an FE environment and have an excellent
understanding of practical video production and games development.
* Be able to demonstrate exceptional organisational and
communication skills that will enable you to work as part of a team to
ensure curriculum quality and accreditation systems whilst
contributing towards all future development activities.
* Great enthusiasm for the subject and a real concern about our
students' progress.
* The ability to embrace new teaching and learning methods and be
highly skilled using the latest media technology.
* A Degree (or equivalent) in a Media Production/Studies or
related subject area.
* Possession of or willing to undertake and achieve a teaching
qualification (minimum Cert Ed or PGCE) within 2 years.
* Proven experience in the subject area and/or relevant curriculum
experience.
* The ability to demonstrate skills essential to teaching and
learning including the ability to plan, organise, communicate,
motivate and provide a high level of customer service.
