Having completed its relocation to stunning new premises at the heart
of the university's Plymouth campus, the Faculty of Arts is developing
new initiatives across its programmes in Art & Design, Architecture,
Media, Performance and Humanities. We are looking for individuals with
a strong background in teaching, research, professional practice and
public engagement who wish to pursue the next stage of their career at
one of the UK's leading modern universities. This post is available
from September 2008.
Programmes within the School of Art & Media promote inter-disciplinary
working at the forefront of practice in art and media education.
Distinctive features include: an integrated approach to the teaching
of critical theory and practice; an emphasis on practice within a
critical framework; extensive facilities combining new technologies
and traditional processes; a vibrant research culture; excellent
levels of student satisfaction.
Media Arts is a broad practice-based course. The focus of this post
will be in the field of moving image and/or digital convergent
technologies. You will be an exciting teacher and innovative
practitioner and join a committed team in the delivery of Media Arts
on the undergraduate programme and postgraduate programmes across the
school.
