Hi Mike,
British Museum use Venda managed service for our e-commerce, including
ticketing system. Was not core functionality, but Venda built it for
us. It is not an 'event mamangement system' (real or online) and
essentially treats tickets as just another product. A shame, as it means
we have to enter data on each event into the main CMS and the Venda CMS,
which is wasted resource.
UI could be improved - it has some usability / accessibility issues, but
we hope to get this looked at - don't think it is rocket science to get
it right.
We also have an internal ticket allocation manager - inhouse piece of
s/ware to allocate to box office / online sales.
Do let me know if you want anything more detailed.
Cheers,
Matthew

Subject: Ticketing and event software
Hi all
Just doing a quick straw poll for a project I'm working on and wondering
if you can help.
Question is (actually, questions are):
- Are you doing online ticketing?
- If so, do you use bespoke or bought-in software?
- Does the software help you manage online events as well?
- Are you happy with the solution you have, and if not, why
not?
Cheers
Mike
