Usual apologies about crossposting.
I'd be grateful if you could spend a few minutes answering these
questions about games in libraries. The results will be anonymised and
used only for background for an article I'm writing.
1.Do you lend/hire video games in your libraries? Which formats? How
much do you charge if anything?
2. Difficult one this but can you remember when public libraries
started lending video games? Either a guess at the year or even which
formats where lent would be helpful here. For instance I know that my
local library lent computer games on tape for the Sinclair Spectrum
(and probably others) in the mid eighties.
3. Do you own or have access to consoles or gaming PCs? If so how
were they funded or sourced?
4.Do you run any regular or irregular gaming events of any kind (video/
board/card)? Please give a brief explanation.
5.Have you organised gaming events where the participants bring their
own equipment (Nintendo DS's or laptops for instance).
I am happy to summarise responses if people would like me to.
Please respond by Friday 11th April.
Thanks for your time.
