Responsibilities
Responsibilities of the job will focus primarily on the design and
development of .NET-based spatial solutions using C#.NET, VB.NET 2.0 and
ASP.NET 2.0 technology. Whilst the ideal candidate would be someone with
previous experience and/or a formal background in Geographical Information
Systems, we will consider cross-training the right candidate with pre-
existing strengths in this software development area. Generic software and
technologies used by the team includes Visual Studio 2005, SOAP web
services, AJAX, C#, C++, Java, SQL Server 2005 and Oracle 10g. The GIS
technologies used focus on Autodesk MapGuide Enterprise and ESRI Server
products.
Project teams are generally small and dynamic, candidates should therefore
expect to be interacting directly with clients on a frequent basis. There
will be career rewards for those able to leverage this exposure to maintain
good relationships with clients and bring in new business.
