Hello all,
We run FSL on our quad-core PowerPC G5 with 8 GB of memory (currently running Tiger). For time's
sake, we often run three or four FEAT processes simultaneously. Most of the time this works fine, but
on occasion we repeatedly get the following error:
/usr/local/fsl/bin/remove_ext: fork: Resource temporarily unavailable.
We usually get it from FEAT, but we have gotten it from other applications and command line tools.
I've also heard from other users in the lab that this same problem has come up on other machines
(specifically, a dual-core PowerPC G5).
Any suggestions as to what we can do to alleviate this problem would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Luka
