Hi
For those of you who attended the Dublin meeting, it was very nice meeting up with you again. In honour of James Joyce, I was thinking about writing this message in a stream of conciousness style, but then I thought I'd save that for my presentations.
Anyway, on July 30th I will be hosting a one day seminar on health policy developments. Two of the papers will be on Japan, one of which will outline the historical development of the Japanese health care system, and the other of which will assess the performance of the Japanese system as currently organised. In the afternoon, We'll have two papers on the English system I think, but I haven't worked out who the authors of those papers will be. Maybe I could present something on the merits and demerits of the single payer system? Maybe people are tired of hearing me talk though. We might run the seminar in the EHPG and HESG-style of discussants rather than authors presenting the papers, and I would hope that the discussants might be of a different nationality that the author of the paper they discuss.
I'll keep this seminar to about 40 people tops, but it would be very nice if you could come. Hopefully, it would be an interesting day, and we could have some kind of dinner thing in the evening.
If you have any thoughts on the above, and/or would be willing to attend the seminar, please let me know.
Thanks
Adam
