Hi Miranda,
I think, although I'm not sure, that this was proven to be not quite all it seemed:
http://www.rawstory.com/news/mochila/US_Bombers_didn_t_have_Down_syndrom_02202008.html
There have been further reports, however:
http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/news/article-16278831-details/Disabled+child+in+suicide+attack/article.do;jsessionid=6D2QLFhMR9zcLjBskqnXT5d0R6QxCMTHSG6KzPSzDztbCp1v1LY1!997276497!-1407319345!7101!7102
Hope this helps.
Regards,
Helen

Subject: Disabled Muslim Terrorists
Hi everyone,
I've been on the list here for a while reading all the inspiring information
people have had on disabilities. I work with an Australian organisation
that promotes the rights of people with disabilities from an ethnic
background. We are looking at obtaining a grant for promoting and
de-stigmatising disability within Muslim cultures. The criteria for this
grant is to show how we would be minimising the risk of Muslim Terrorists.
I had read a while ago there was research that stated that terrorists were
recruiting people with mental, intellectual disabilities as suicide bombers.
If anyone knows of where to find that article it would be greatly
appreciated.
Regards
Maranda
