Dear all
The International Review of Economics Education (IREE)* is planning a
special issue on "pluralism in economics education: issues in teaching
and learning". The special issue is to appear in November 2009.
Meanwhile IREE and the Association for Heterodox Economics (AHE) are
holding a one-day workshop in October 2008 on "Pluralism in economics:
rethinking the teaching of economics". The calls for papers for the
journal and the workshop can be seen at http://tinyurl.com/2v4qyv and
http://tinyurl.com/2s5ab7.
The deadlines for submission are:
- for the IREE/AHE workshop: abstracts by Friday, 6 June 2008; and
- for the IREE special issue: full papers by Friday, 28 November 2008.
Abstracts and papers should be sent by email to [log in to unmask]
This is a great opportunity for heterodox economists to engage with
mainstream organisations and standpoints in a very important debate.
Please disseminate as widely as possible using your networks and
consider seriously whether you can submit a paper for the workshop
and/or the IREE special issue.
