Research Officer in Human Computer Interaction
Trust Economics: Human Vulnerabilities in Network Security
Applications are invited for the post of post-doctoral research officer on a three-year project funded by the DTI within the Human Vulnerabilities in Network Security Technology Priority Area. The research will be undertaken in collaboration with Hewlett Packard, Merrill Lynch, University College London, and the University of Newcastle. The project aims to provide a new approach to modelling the behaviour of users, and conjoining cognitive and mathematical modelling, in the context of security policies and protocols. The cognitive effects on users' tasks and activities of adhering to security policies will be investigated theoretically, empirically and practically in a series of representative case studies having significant economic impact.
Applicants should have a PhD in Human Computer Interaction, Computer Science or a related area with experience in modelling users, and in the analysis, design, and evaluation of interactive systems.
Commencing salary up to £27466 per annum.
