stakeholders.
PoCoG’s mission is to improve the outcomes of patients experiencing a
diagnosis of cancer, their families and carers through evaluation and
implementation of psychosocial and supportive care interventions for
patients, carers, health professionals and the health care system. PoCoG was
established in 2005, in response to a recognised need to develop the

sample size estimates and power calculations, database preparation and
statistical analysis. This will include the preparation of reports for
publication; collaboration on research proposals and grants; and assistance
with the preparation of presentation reports.
The chosen individual will have postgraduate qualifications in statistics,
biostatistics or a health related field, and previous experience in
statistical analysis for psychological or health related research.
The position is part-time (2 - 3 days per week, 15 hours) fixed term

employment until June 2010, subject to need and funding. Membership of a
University approved superannuation scheme is a condition of employment for
new appointees.
