We are now looking to recruit an expert epidemiologist to assist in the
development of a pro-active in-house approach to epidemiological studies of
BI UK pharmaceutical products and therapy areas. Reporting to the Senior
Epidemiologist, the person in this position will play an instrumental role in
developing the Epidemiology function within BI.
Your main accountabilities will be to produce studies and develop arguments
to support the market positioning of BI products, while working within the
current guidelines of good practice. You will also be required to assist in
incorporating epidemiological data gathering into clinical trials
You will being working in a dynamic team of 7 health economists and one other
epidemiologist and take lead role in providing technical support, advice,
information and training in epidemiology matters to the Health Economics and
Outcomes Research Team.
Entry Requirements
* Degree or equivalent qualification in relevant area
* Relevant post-graduate qualification e.g. MSc Epidemiology or related
discipline would be advantageous
* Knowledge of epidemiological methods and principles ; practical
application of which is an advantage
* Minimum of 3 years working in pharmaceutical industry or academia
* Experience in working with health economists would be advantageous
* Computer literate essential with a knowledge of statistical packages
(e.g., SAS)
* Experiences with GPRD would be advantageous
