Research Fellow - Clinical Evidence (2 positions)
UCL academic related band 7 or 8 (depending on experience) + London weighting (currently £2,572 p.a.)
The National Collaborating Centre for Women's and Children's Health (NCC-WCH) is a multi-disciplinary, enthusiastic and friendly health services research team. The Centre is commissioned by the National Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence (NICE) to produce evidence-based clinical and public health guidelines for the National Health Service. We work with guideline development groups (GDGs), whose membership includes healthcare professionals and lay representatives, and with an extensive range of stakeholders. Our host institute is the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and our offices are based on Goodge Street.
Research Fellow
We would like to recruit two experienced systematic reviewers each to support a guideline under development. The main duties will be to undertake systematic reviews and meta-analyses of clinical research evidence, to present findings to the GDG, and to draft guideline documents. Applicants could have a background in medicine, a profession allied to medicine, epidemiology, statistics or public health. Experience in children's health would be particularly welcomed. Experience of literature searching, synthesising research evidence, analysing quantitative data, writing reports and/or research papers and project management is essential.

* Antenatal care (update)
* Diabetes in pregnancy
* Induction of labour (update)
* Surgical site infection
* Hypertension in pregnancy
* Social issues in pregnancy
* When to suspect child maltreatment
* Diarrhoea and vomiting in children under 5
* Meningitis and meningococcal disease in children and young people
* Neonatal jaundice
* Constipation in children
* Autism in children and adolescents
