Hello all
Would any FE people be willing to share figures on what proportion of
full-time and part-time students they reach with their LRC/library
inductions?
We have 1,660 f/time students and about 70% of those come to us for an
induction each year. We have about 4,800 p/time students but only 14%
come to us for an induction. I don't know if this is 'bad' or not as I
have nothing to measure against (it doesn't look good to me!). We know
that most of the missing f/timers are 2nd years, which means we know to
target that cohort in future years. A lot of the p/timers are in for
just one day or even just 3 hours, so would never legitimately need to
have an LRC induction, but we can't tell what number of the 4,800 we
should really be using to calculate our 'hit' rate.
It would be helpful if you are able to share similar statistics, or if
you have a better measure that you would be willing to share.
Thanks! The sun is still shining on the Isle of Wight - hope you are
enjoying the same.
Kind regards,
