REGIONAL TRAINING SESSIONS - New Interface - ISI Web of Knowledge Service for UK Education
The new interface for the ISI Web of Knowledge Service for UK Education was fully introduced in February 2008. In order to support this Mimas, in conjunction with Thomson Scientific, are offering a series of free training sessions for library and support staff.
PROGRAMME
These workshops will:
* feature an intensive exploration of the new interface, including:
- NEW product 'WebPlus'
- NEW product Researcher ID
- Citation Report, including h-index
- Cited Reference Searching
- Author finder tool
* provide the opportunity to participate in a structured hands-on session
* provide the opportunity for an informal hands-on for any/all products - Thomson Scientific and Mimas support staff will be on hand to assist
DATES
* 6 May 2008. University of Manchester 1pm - 4pm
* 7 May 2008. University of Glasgow 1pm - 4pm
* 8 May 2008. Queens University Belfast 10am - 1pm (Note Morning session).
* 12 May 2008. University of Manchester 1pm - 4pm
* 15 May 2008. University of Birmingham 1pm - 4pm
WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
These courses are for library and support staff. Previous experience of ISI Web of Knowledge and Web of Science is advised.
COURSE MATERIALS AND FORMAT
The workshops will combine a mixture of presentations and hands-on practical sessions; in addition there will be opportunities for attendees to ask questions.
