Hi Heather et al
Just by way of explanation, you can't post attachments to the list, it's
a housekeeping rule we have always used to prevent overload on people's
mailboxes and viruses.
The preferred method is to send a simple text message and include a web
address where files etc can be downloaded by those who want them (rather
than sending out all the files to 750+ people in 50+ countries who may
not want them).
Hope that helps
Mark (list owner)

Subject: Disability and the Holocaust
Dear All,
I've just tried to post the the list - but it scrambled my text and lost
the attachments so I am trying again...
The Holocaust Centre, in north Nottinghamshire, is running an event in
partnership with the Nottighamshire Disabled People's Movement on Sunday
11th May to acknowledge and remember the Deaf and disabled people who
were sterilised and killed during the Holocaust. The event will see the
dedication of the first rose and plaque to the Deaf and disabled people
killed during the Holocaust, and the Pioneers Young Disabled People's
Forum will unveil their plans to create the UK's first permanent
memorial at the Centre to this group.
The day will include speakers and debate. Speakers will include Liz
Crow, director and producer of 'Roaring Girl' films, who is currently
making a film about the T4 disability extermination programme; 85 year
old Hans Cohn, MBE, who will talk about his experience of being one of
the very few blind German Jewish children who survived the Holocaust by
escaping to the UK; and Ricki Westbury, Director of Disability Access
Services, who will discuss the impact of the Holocaust on Deaf culture.
If you are interested in booking a place on this free event, please
complete and return the attached booking form by Friday 2nd May. Places
are limited however due to funding, so booking will be on a 'first come
first served basis', although mulitiple bookings from organisations will
be accepted.
If you have any queries, please get in touch.
Heather Hollins,
Senior Access and Heritage Officer, The Holocaust Centre.
PhD student, University of Leicester.
