Hi,
Here at the University of Aberdeen we have a Trapeze system.
8 MX-400 switches and over 860 installed Trapeze Access Points.
Over 320 of these access points are in our student residences and it is
these that are the most used (no surprise there).
Every night we have over 1100 concurrent users.
We have the occasional issue, but usually nothing major and our supplier
and Trapeze themselves seem to do their best to resolve things quite
quickly. Overall I would say we are very happy with the Trapeze
hardware and what it allows us to do.
Regards,
Colin Shaw

Subject: Quick question
Hi everyone,
We at Bristol are doing a little research into what other universities
are doing with their wireless networks. Basically we are planning an
expansion and are evaluating whether to stick with Cisco or move to a
different supplier.
Could I have a quick show of hands of the following:
Which brand of hardware you use
The size of your installation - access points and users
How much you paid for it
Any comments on:
Technical support / maintenance
Quality of management features
Thanks for your time :)
Jonathan
