We've been discussing this recently as well - mainly from a student
privacy angle but also from a welfare/bullying angle.
We don't have any specific policy to cover social networking sites (do
people think this is needed?) but are reviewing the existing regulations
to ensure that digital media are covered more explicitly. We're also
working with the SU to try to raise student awareness of the implications
of putting their private lives 'on display' for their family or
prospective employers to see!
