Event Background 

The site administration panel is your front-page toolbox to your Moodle
site. This tool is seen and managed only by assigned site administrators. 

Learn ways to configure this block to enhance your Moodle processes and
experience. 
This session will cover what each element means and how it impacts your
Moodle System.
The areas in this configuration menu include 

*	Notifications - sign up to receive  updates and Moodle information 

*	Users - Manage your users here, assign roles, add users, and so much
more 

*	Courses - Add/edit courses, instructors, enroll users 

*	Location - location, time zone settings 

*	Language - determine your language settings 

*	Modules - determine how your course modules will run 

*	Security - many security options here including site, HTTP, and
modules 

*	Appearance - a great deal of options here including filters,
calendar, and grade book 

*	Front Page - configure your front page to your organization's goals 

*	Server - everything from maintenance to clean up 

*	Networking - sharing sources 

*	Reports - logs and reports for the entire site 

Each menu option affects the functionality of your Moodle in different ways.

We invite you to join us in this session where you will learn your
administration panel and how to use it to configure your Moodle. You will
have the opportunity to work in your current Moodle system as the session
progresses.

About the Presenters 

Anne Thorp is the owner of AT Learning Designs, LLC, a consulting and
training business for learning designs in online learning and Universal
Design for Learning. 
She is also an Instructional Technologist at the Ottawa Area Intermediate
School District in Holland, MI, USA where she works with administrators,
teachers, and students implementing technology into the curriculum. Prior to
that Anne taught elementary school for 20 years in Houston, TX.
Anne Thorp is a Doctoral Candidate at North central University completing
her PhD in Education Technology Management. She is also a Kappa Delta Pi
member. 
Anne designs online learning training and courses, and leads professional
development for teachers creating online courses and instructs them in
effective course design and online facilitation. Anne has been a Moodle user
for four years and is one of only a handful of certified Moodle instructors
in the United States.

We have limited "seats" for this event. The webinar is entirely free of

The minimum PC requirements are a Pentium III 500 MHz CPU running Windows
98/ME/2000/XP with 128 MB of memory and a sound card.  The minimum Mac
requirements are Mac OS 9.1/9.2, Mac OS X 10.1.5/10.2/10.3/10.4, running on
a G3 233 MHz CPU with either 64 MB (OS 9), 128 MB (OS X 10.1.5/10.2/10.3) or
256 MB (OS X 10.4).

To get maximum benefit from Elluminate Live!, all users should have a
microphone and speakers.
