Dear All
At GridPP20 several of us talked of the need for improved site
monitoring, and in particular integrating SAM results with local Nagios
installations. On this theme, the mail below from James Casey may be of
interest to you.
It would be good to see some sites volunteer to try out this approach
and feedback to others - timely too with the upcoming WLCG workshop in
April.
Kind regards,
Jeremy

Subject: SAM results into Nagios for T1 sites
Hi,
Here's some info on how to get back SAM results for all VOs into your
Nagios install (it works for all sites, not just T1).
You need to use the latest 'beta' version of the WLCG monitoring
configuration generator. The install procedure is documented here:
<https://twiki.cern.ch/twiki/bin/view/LCG/GridMonitoringNcg> . You'll be
interested (at least initially) in the 'remote only' configuration case.
Most important is the fact that the configuration generation rpm has
changed name - to 'grid-monitoring-config-gen' from
'grid-monitoring-config-gen-nagios'. It now has flexible backends and we
will be adding more backend config generation options (like LEMON) in
the future.
For the specifics of the configuration file, you can look at :
o_I_configure_just_to_see_t>.
Please give us feedback on this new release at

Cheers,
James.
