Forgive my ignorance. I knew the rule and its subtle details but I thought
it was illegal and thus no club bothered to apply it (a bit like the
transfer system... or am I wrong on this count too and clubs do actually
pay a portion of the transfer fees to the first club who trained the
player?)
Re: Homegrown Players. Has this rule really been applied consistently by
clubs this season? How come it has not been challenged by one of the EU's
centre of powers or a club? Who would be entitled to challenge it in court
and how? Presumably any spectator?
