Hi Chris,
Thank you for the information on the overbudget. Would you consider or be able to use it for "equiptment grants" to help NGOs who are doing Participatory Video be able to purchase equiptment? For example, I am currently training 4 NGOs in Nepal with ActionAid exploring a sustainable, affordable equiptment kit that is about 800/gbp. We have 1 kit, but I am hoping to find the funds for 3 more so that everyone who is trained will have the tools to use video as a participatory tool in their communities.
Just a thought. Please let me know.
Cheers,

Subject: Underspend
With the receipts that have come in so far, we're still looking
significantly underspent - something like £3K-£4k. All those people
dropping out of the final event, plus some padding left over from the
thinly attended December meeting.
So I'm happy to receive ideas about immediate uses for it (travel and
subsistence and accomodaiton to support internships with the money spent
this month are first option). I'll also see if we can get an extension
from the funders, as it'd be a pity to lose it. There's enough there to
hold another event, and it's potentially good match funding for
something else. I'll make a more general announcement as soon as I've
checked with the NCRM.
