Jim -- might it be Mineral Park, formerly a Cyprus property in Mohave
County?? Note the following:

But note that this is pretty recent and is about the Rio Tinto of today.

I suggest you contact Nyal Niemuth at the Arizona Dept. of Mines & Mineral
Resources in Phoenix.
602-771-1604. He's a mining engineer, a heck of a helpful guy, and knows the
state very well.
I checked my copy of the Mines Register for 1942 and found the following:
No active Rio Tinto mining operation in Arizona nor Nevada
Under inactive or dormant mines and mining companies, I found Rio Tinto
Copper Co. in Nevada (p. 460)
In the addenda section (p. 612) I found Mountain City Copper Co., but no
mention of where it was located. (I expect Nevada.) It produced gold, silver, and
copper in 1940 and 1941. Operating officials are given, including J.C. Lokken,
mill superintendent. I recall him, from a later period, when he worked for
the Pittsburg, Calif. unit of Dow Chemical Co. where he was involved, I believe,
in Dow's flotation reagent lab -- they made Bear brand xanthates, etc.
