Good Morning! We currently offer a scanning service for our library users which involves scanning documents usually containing personal information (such as passport pages) and then emailing them to the user. In light of recent queries around identity fraud and safety concerning emailing personal information we are considering stopping this service.
I would like to know:
1) Do other libraries offer this service?
2) Do you limit the type of documents which you scan?
3) Do you charge for this facility?
4) Do you have any safety precautions in place such as asking the user to complete a disclaimer?
Any advice on this issue is very much appreciated!
