TASI has two vacancies:
1. Metadata Advocacy Officer

This exciting post gives the opportunity for developing your
interests and expertise in digital resource management. You will work
with media creators and depositors, systems suppliers and expert
stakeholders to increase the deployment and usage of time-based media
and images application profiles across the UK’s academic information
environment. This is a fixed term post for 12 months and could be an
ideal developmental secondment.
You will have a first-degree and a postgraduate degree in Library and
Information Sciences, along with theoretical and practical experience
in creating metadata and digital repositories’ implementation and
development. You will have previous professional experience in the
education sector and some experience in project management. In
addition, you will have excellent communication, presentation and
time-management skills along with good research skills.
Based at the Institute for Learning and Research Technology, TASI is
a JISC (Joint Information Systems Committee) funded Advisory Service
<http://www.tasi.ac.uk/>, which provides technical information,
training and resources for digitisation projects and teaching staff
who use digital media.

2. TASI eLearning Officer

You will provide advice and support to the UK’s Further and Higher
Education communities in the use of digital resources (images, moving
images and sound) in learning and teaching (eLearning) materials. As
part of this role you will build relationships with relevant
organisations/individuals to identify technical and pedagogical
support needs for use of digital resources.
You will have a degree-level and post-graduate teaching
qualification, and 2-3 years’ experience in eLearning or providing
eLearning support, including experience in the use of digital media
objects in teaching and learning. In addition you will understand
VLEs and other eLearning tools.
You will have excellent communications, presentation and
time-management skills along with good research skills. Based at the
