NATIONAL PERINATAL EPIDEMIOLOGY UNIT
Researcher in Statistics and Epidemiology

Applications are invited for the full time post of Researcher in
Statistics and Epidemiology. This new post is funded by the Medical
Research Council for 24 months from Summer 2008 and is based in the
National Perinatal Epidemiology Unit at the University of Oxford.
This is an exciting opportunity for a researcher with experience of data
analysis to develop their epidemiological expertise and analytical
skills within this important study of the effect of infertility and its
treatment on child health and development. You will be part of a
multi-disciplinary team with expertise in epidemiology, statistics, and
psychology. You will be responsible for developing the analysis plan
and for undertaking all the data analysis. You will help prepare reports
and write articles for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
We are looking for someone with a postgraduate degree in statistics,
epidemiology or a health-related science along with practical experience
of data analysis and research and managing large and complex datasets.
