Epidemiologist
£25,368 to £26,414 per annum
The MRC Biostatistics Unit aims to advance medical science by the
development of statistical methodology. It is one of Europe's leading
biostatistics research institutions and includes many internationally
renowned statisticians.
A 15 months Fixed-term Contract to undertake empirical and applied research
under the direction of Drs Rebecca Turner and Julian Higgins, involving
extraction and manipulation of data to underpin methods for making the best
use of available randomised trial evidence and also work on published
studies in human genome epidemiology.
Preferably you will have a Masters degree in epidemiology or a related
discipline, or relevant experience. Skills in creating and manipulating
Access databases would be desirable. You will be a good team member, well
organised and capable of working independently, under supervision. You give
attention to detail and maintain high standards.
The starting salary will be in the range of £25,368 to £26,414 per annum and
is supported by a flexible pay award policy, 6 weeks annual leave and public
holidays and optional MRC final salary pension scheme. Excellent sports and
